Ridgid Chain Vise | MSD-RIDGID
Ridgid chain vises as options for the disassembly table. The chain vises can handle tubes or rods up to 8” in diameter. You can purchase and install additional chain the increase the range of the vise to 14”. Do not use the chain vise as the primary hold down for any torqueing operation.
The “Nut Buster” generates greater torque than the rating on your chain vise so caution is advised as this high torque could damage your vise.
Reed Chain Vise | MSD-REED
We currently offer reed chain vises as options for the disassembly table. The chain vises can handle tubes or rods up to 12” in diameter. You can purchase and install additional chain the increase the range of the vise to 24”.
Do not use the chain vise as the primary hold down for any torqueing operation. The “Nut Buster” generates greater torque than the rating on your chain vise so caution is advised as this high torque could damage your vise.
Heavy Duty Chain Vise | MSD-HDCV- 24
The vise is designed with a standard 60 pitch triple row chain and 50 to 1 gear box. The vise has a capacity from 4” to 24 inch diameter. The vise is easy to use with a three finger fork to secure the chain at one end and a brake adjuster to apply tension to the triple row chain. The chain is rated for 5600 pounds of pull. The vise is designed to be used on our hydraulic cylinder disassembly bench or can be adapted fit other applications. When used on our bench you can clamp the vise stationary to the rails with the l-bracket or use the one inch holes along the rails. Each vise is supplied with ten feet of triple row chain and one master link. The chain vise has a base plate 12” wide by 32” long and weighs in at 375 pounds.
Heavy Duty Chain Vise | MSD-HDCV-36
20″ (508mm) to 36″ (914.4mm) diameter heavy duty chain vise supplied with hardened serrated jaws and 10ft (3.05m) of triple-row chain. Vise is equipped with truck slack adjusters to tighten the chain and three finger chain lock with quick release. The MSD-HDCV-36 is designed to take rotational and pulling force.
Heavy Duty Chain Vise | MSD-HDCV-48
The vise is designed with a standard 60 pitch triple row chain and 50 to 1 gear box. The vise has a capacity from 30” to 48” inch diameter.
Tie Bolt Hold-Down | MSD-HD
The MSD-HD Tie Bolt Hold Down brackets clamp a tie bolt cylinder to the slide plates to help align end caps during assembly. Using two or three clamps will assure proper alignment of end caps and intermediate trunnion plates.
Strap Hold Down | MSD-SHD / MSD-SHD-HD
The Strap Hold Downs are manufactured to secure tubes and cylinders to our disassembly tables. MSD-SHD is designed for a Standard-Duty Bench, while MSD-SHD-HD is for a Heavy-Duty Bench.

The Chain Hold Down is used on cylinders that must be secured for component repair. MSD-CHD is designed for a Standard-Duty Bench, while MSD-CHD-HD is for a Heavy-Duty Bench.
